A Virtual Assistant (VA) can provide fast, efficient and low-cost assistance to help your business reach the next level. Here are just a few of the services that HRA Global Solutions can provide for your growing business:

Advertising

We can advertise for an open position in a fraction of the time and covering a much wider area than you or your staff can. In about 20-30 minutes we can write and place the advertisements needed to get the desired response. The more resumes you receive, the more choices you have in hiring. The contacts we have in place can make changes as needed in your advertising area and can recommend the best newspaper coverage. We can stay well within your budget for advertising, using all the tricks of the trade to get the most for your dollar.

Sorting Resumes

As the resumes arrive by fax and email, they will be sorted and marked. The criteria will include education, experience, special training, location and ability to perform the job. At no time will we discriminate based on race, sex, religion or physical limitations, unless they apply directly to the job itself (using current HR standards). Only the resumes that are thought to be within the guidelines for hiring will be sent to you. They will each be given a “grade” of 1-5, 5 being the best in terms of meeting the criteria for hiring.

Phone Interviews

When all the resumes have been collected, you will decide how many should be interviewed by phone. We will contact each one and they will go through a series of questions that you have approved beforehand. They will again be sorted according to ability and sent to you for approval.

Written Recommendation

When all the phone interviews are complete and the forms filled out for each one, we will send a written recommendation to you, along with the paperwork for each applicant. The recommendation will include computer background, education, communication skills, customer service skills, ability to get along with others and many other criteria. You will make the final decisions about hiring and will handle the face-to-face interviewing.

Additional Services

In addition to the above services, we are also able to offer reference checks. In most cases, it is standard practice to obtain references from three former employers and/or two personal references. A fax is sent asking for information about the applicant. In most cases, HR managers will not release information about the quality of the applicants work but they should respond easily to the dates of hire and if there were any drug or alcohol problems. It is rare that an HR manager will disclose anything personal about the applicant but sometimes their silence can speak volumes about the applicant!

Face-to-Face Interviews

If you happen to work within the area of mid-state Michigan (Lansing, Flint, Grand Rapids, Saginaw), owner Nancy Barnes can also provide the service of interviewing the applicants in person. This can easily be done at your office and generally takes about 20 minutes per applicant for follow-up questions and communication about the company. This service is billed separately (see Rates) and includes mileage and time spent. She will often schedule all of the interviews in one day to minimize travel and keep the expenses to a minimum.
