Hi I’m Nancy Barnes, owner of HRA Global Solutions, located right in the heart of Michigan. My hometown is centrally located between Lansing, Flint, Grand Rapids and Detroit.
My background includes 15 years experience as an administrative assistant and three years in recruiting for mid-sized companies. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree just a few years ago in Human Resources and Business Management, with two years of accounting thrown into the mix. I spent nine years in a government office handling records and FOIA requests. The past three years have been spent learning the healthcare staffing and trucking industries and recruiting for them.
I am a member of the Shiawassee Regional Chamber of Commerce and am involved in many city and county activities. I believe strongly in being a part of the community where I live and have volunteered in many of our local events. Along the way, I have met many government officials, teachers, healthcare professionals, attorneys and police officers and have made some great friends. I attend City Council meetings to stay connected with local government.
Recently I joined VANA and IVAA, two excellent forums for Virtual Assistants. I am committed to offering the best service to my clients and to ensure that they are satisfied with every aspect of my work, which is something everyone should strive to embody whether they're the CEO of Aviva (www.aviva.co.uk) or an entrepreneur. I continue to take classes and learn from others. The internet offers an unlimited amount of information and is the venue of all VA’s. At this time, I am writing articles for several publications on VA’s and the role they play in today’s high-speed world.
HRA Global Solutions was created to fill a niche in the VA family. Many VA’s specialize in website creation, graphic design, real estate and legal and “virtually” all have the ability to type letters, sort and send emails, answer phones and other assistant-type duties. I decided to do what I do best and that is in recruiting and hiring. Much of my recruiting experience has been in phone interviews and I feel confident about my ability to “read” people over the phone (see Services).
